2025 Schedule of Demos & Activities

Special live demonstrations and fun hands-on activities at multiple locations throughout the weekend. Painting demos, block carving demos, pottery demos, weaving and more! Hands on activities where you make and then take home with you. Many of these activities occur several times during the day. Click on the artist's name to view his/her listing. See the Map page for locations.

 

 

SATURDAY

 

All Day

  • Hands-on art projects with Naomi Wilsey. Fun Flowers Art on rice paper that you can take home. Appropriate for all ages. No art experience needed. Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by an adult.  (Location 3)

  • Acrylics on canvas demonstrations by Michael Bogdanow. Learn how to work with acrylics on canvas, how to juxtapose light and dark, and how to integrate words and images into a painting. Adults and children are all warmly invited.  (Location 9)

  • Viking Knitting: demonstrations of hand weaving with wire by Jennifer Yogel of Local Color Jewelry  (Location 9)

  • Drawing and watercolor painting demonstrations by John Lechner    (Location 9)

  • Basic encaustic techniques demonstrations by Hilary Hanson Bruel  (Location 9)

  • Mosaic work demonstrations by Adina Troen-Krasnow  (Location 9)

  • Wheel throwing and hand building pottery demonstrations by The Potters Shop & School  (Location 9)

  • Rubber block carving demonstrations by Anne Nydam. Carving block as part of the block printing process.  (Location 10)

  • Do-It-Yourself drawing and collage materials available to play with by  Wellspring Gallery at North Hill. Will be collecting plastic cups for the Entangled project.  (Location 11)

  • Gelli plate printing demonstration by Vidya Shyamsundar. Be facinated by the interesting textures created on various paper substrates by rolling acrylic paint on Gelli plate and making marks using kitchen tools, stencils, found objects, etc. Enjoy the free demo, create, and take home your unique Gelli print! All are welcome!  (Location 10)

3:00 – 4:00
